1. About Myansan
Myansan Ltd is a parcel delivery and logistics service operating between the United Kingdom and Myanmar. By using our services, website, or booking system, you agree to these Terms & Conditions.
2. Booking and Pricing
- All prices shown at the time of booking are estimates only. Final pricing is confirmed by our team before collection.
- Pricing is based on the weight and dimensions of your parcel. We reserve the right to adjust the price if the declared weight differs from the actual weight.
- Full payment is required before items are dispatched to Myanmar.
- Prices are quoted in GBP (£) and are subject to change without notice.
3. Prohibited Items
Myansan uses DHL as its carrier for international shipments. The following items are strictly prohibited and cannot be accepted for carriage. This list mirrors DHL's prohibited items policy.
Most commonly rejected items
- Combination of liquids/gels and electronic items in the same parcel
- Aerosols, perfumes and aftershaves (including eau de parfum and eau de toilette)
- Cosmetics — makeup, hair dye, face creams
- Foodstuffs
- Medications (prescription and non-prescription, including supplements)
- Power banks and loose batteries of any type
- Rechargeable wireless earbuds (AirPods, Samsung Galaxy Buds, etc.)
- Credit/debit cards — activated or unactivated
- Nail polish
- Paracetamol and similar over-the-counter medicines
- Cash in any currency
Alcohol, Cigarettes & Narcotics
- Alcohol (restrictions apply for destinations outside the UK)
- Cigarettes, cigars, tobacco products
- Electronic cigarettes, e-hookahs, e-cigars, vape pens, and any device that delivers nicotine or inhalable substances via aerosol
- Illegal narcotics and cannabis-derived products, including CBD
Electronic Devices
- More than 2 mobile phones, laptops, or small electronic items per parcel (max 2 devices per box; total shipment value up to £5,000)
- Damaged or defective batteries
- Loose batteries of any type (including power banks, USB chargers, household batteries)
Hazardous & Dangerous Items
- Bladed items including knives and cutters
- Dangerous/hazardous goods — flammable and corrosive substances, dry ice, biological substances
- Firearms, ammunition, explosives, inert explosives, air guns, tasers, toy guns, replica firearms, and all firearm parts
- Party poppers and Christmas crackers
- Used car parts and engines (only accepted if professionally cleaned to remove residues)
Human, Animals & Plants
- Animal trophies, animal parts and furs (including ivory, shark fin, animal remains and ashes)
- Clinical and/or biological samples (bodily fluids, tissue samples)
- Clinical testing kits, new or used (including COVID-19 tests)
- Flowers and plants
- Human remains or ashes in any form
- Live animals, including insects, larvae and pupae
- Plant-based material
Money, Valuables & Collectibles
- Antiques, works of art, and fine art with individual value over £5,000
- Banderols/tax stickers
- Bullion of any precious metal
- Cash and traveller's cheques (bank notes, currency notes, coins)
- Commemorative coins, medals, and high-value collectibles with individual or total value over £1,800
- Jewellery, costume jewellery, and watches made of precious metal or stones with total shipment value over £4,000
- Loose precious and semi-precious stones (cut or uncut, polished or unpolished)
Other Prohibited Items
- Counterfeit goods in breach of Intellectual Property Rights (IPR)
- Illegal goods (offensive bladed weapons, narcotic stimulants, depressants, hallucinogens, cannabis derivatives)
- Pornography (printed, film, or digital format)
- Shipment trackers/active loggers
This list includes items prohibited by law or by DHL policy in the country of carriage. For international carriage, additional items may be prohibited by the country of destination. Myansan reserves the right to refuse, return, or dispose of any shipment containing prohibited items. Customers may be liable for all costs incurred.
4. Current Conditions in Myanmar
Important — please read carefully
- Due to the ongoing political and civil situation in Myanmar, deliveries may be significantly delayed.
- Parcels may be subject to inspection, seizure, or confiscation by authorities at any point during transit.
- Items may be lost or damaged due to circumstances beyond our control, including road conditions, conflict zones, and infrastructure disruption.
- Certain regions of Myanmar may be inaccessible for delivery at any given time.
- Airline and customs weight or content restrictions may change without notice.
By placing a booking, you acknowledge these risks and agree that Myansan cannot be held liable for delays, damage, loss, or seizure caused by conditions in Myanmar.
5. Liability
- Myansan's liability for lost or damaged items is limited to the declared value of the goods, up to a maximum of £100 per shipment unless additional cover is agreed in writing.
- We are not liable for delays caused by customs, airlines, weather, political instability, or any force majeure event.
- We are not liable for consequential, indirect, or special losses of any kind.
- Claims for loss or damage must be made within 14 days of the expected delivery date.
6. Customs & Import Duties
The sender is responsible for ensuring all items comply with Myanmar customs regulations. Any import duties, taxes, or fees levied by Myanmar customs are the responsibility of the recipient. Myansan does not accept liability for items held or destroyed by customs.
7. Cancellations & Refunds
- Cancellations must be requested before items are collected. Once collected, a handling fee may apply.
- Refunds will not be issued for shipments that have been dispatched, regardless of outcome.
- If we are unable to fulfil a delivery due to circumstances on our side, we will offer a full refund or alternative arrangement.
8. Data & Privacy
We collect your name, phone number, and address for the sole purpose of fulfilling your delivery. We do not sell or share your data with third parties except where necessary to complete the shipment (e.g. delivery partners in Myanmar). Data is stored securely and in accordance with UK GDPR.
9. Governing Law
These Terms & Conditions are governed by the laws of England and Wales. Any disputes shall be subject to the exclusive jurisdiction of the courts of England and Wales.
